Dizziness and Vestibular Disorders 

What causes dizziness?

Dizziness can be caused by many different factors, most of which are not serious and can be addressed with physical therapy. Dizziness can be due to a problem with your inner ear (your vestibular system), pain and stiffness in your neck, a side effect of medication, migraine headaches, or a more serious problem such as a problem with your heart or brain.

What are common symptoms of vestibular (inner ear) disorders?

  • Dizziness especially with head movements

  • Nausea

  • Blurred vision

  • Headaches

  • Imbalance/falls

  • Vertigo/spinning sensations
